AFOLABI MUIDEEN - SYNW YOUNG WRITER OF THE MONTH (JUNE 2020)



Afolabi Muideen A. O (Afolabiliterary) hails from Osun State Nigeria, Iragbji precisely. He obtained his OND on Mass Communication from The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Oyo State. And obtained his degree in English Education from Ekiti State University, an affiliated course to ILA Orangun. He is a learner, a teacher who had taught for years; had produced many students for tertiary institutions, some of whom are now graduates. 

He has helped many  aspiring writers became writers and helped established writers strengthen their writing prowess through free writing workshops, both online and offline. 

Afolabi is a writer who writes in all the three genres of literature; notwithstanding, he is specialised in writing prose. He has written many books, but published a number of them. Among them are: The Promotional Exam and Fathers' Bond. 

Afolabi believes in education, and has a strong love for it. He is the Executive Director of Writers' Global Movement known as Centre For Global Writers.

Yinka Olorunkosebi - SYNW Young Writer of the Month (JUNE 2020)


YINKA OLORUNKOSEBI - SYNW YOUNG WRITER OF THE MONTH (JUNE 2020)


Olayinka Olorunkosebi, a graduate of Babcock University and Robert Gordon University, is an actor, author, spoken with artist, storyteller, speaker, Librarian and a Children and Teens Coach.
His journey into the world of literature started as a teenager but got expression in his under graduate days where he wrote, presented and performed on several platforms. He even got an award then.

However in 2008, his first work Timeless Treasures a collection of poems was published.
That same year he was honored as 1 of the top 10 poets of the year by Lines From Africa.
The journey has been great ever since with its challenges 

Though he is yet to publish another single collection, but has been published in several publications like the newsletter if Arvon foundation UK, Poetry Enclave, The Tribune Newspaper, SYNW publications and many more.

He is a member of several other local and international bodies, an award winning performance poet, with other honorary recognitions and a foundation member of the Society for Young Nigerian Writers.

FASANMI SHINA - SYNW YOUNG WRITER OF THE MONTH (JUNE 2020)



Fasanmi Shina is a quintessential wordsmith with a deep interest in Creative Writing, Public Speaking, Advertising, Public Relations, Copy Writing and Copy Editing.

He encourages youth leadership, youth enterprise and capacity building.

As an administrator, he is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Corporate and Business Affairs Management (CICAM), Nigeria; Institute of Strategic Management (ISMN) and Society for Young Nigerian Writers (SYNW), With his designation as News Hub Creator for Opera News, Fasanmi also organizes regular literary engagements on language and communication. He runs an online bookclub and vocabulary clinic.

Fasanmi is the Lead Faculty at City-View Educational Consults and Media Consultant at TextPRO Services. ANGELICA CHINECHEREM UWAEZUOKE – SYNW STUDENT WRITER OF THE MONTH (JUNE 2020)



Angelica Chinecherem Uwaezuoke is a fiction writer and content creator who hails from Umuogele Amuda Isuochi in Umunneochi LGA of Abia State. She is in her penultimate year at the prestigious University of Nigeria Nsukka where she studies Medicine and Surgery.

As a child, Angelica was noticed to put down her imaginations of the world around her into writing for which extra efforts where made to encourage her to continue in this path.  Hibaya Book Club, a unique book reading club which she runs, aims to revive the exciting experience of reading amongst young people.

 Her masterpiece, VERNONIA , published on OkadaBooks brought her into limelight.
 Before this publication, several of her works have appeared in bulletins, Opera news hub and the maiden anthology of LOGISS Teen Authors Creativity Centre.
She is currently working on a second book- Black Faced Two-timer- which shall be published in the near future.

Angelica is a member of the Society of Young Nigerian Writers (SYNW) Enugu chapter, where she is the UNN Coordinator.

Her role model in prose writing is Chinua Achebe whose literary work seeks to preserve and nurture the African culture and heritage. She uses her stories to expose societal ills, discourage dishonesty, promote hard work and advance national unity.
