COMFORT ENE - SYNW YOUNG FEMALE WRITER OF THE MONTH – JANUARY 2021


 

Peculiar Comfort Ene is a Nigerian writer and Poet. She writes from Makurdi, Benue State capital. Aside writing, she's a baker, seamstress, and also into make-up. She dropped her real name Clementina as a child due to some reasons. She is currently an undergraduate of English and Literary Studies, Benue State University Makurdi.

Writing has always been part of her even before she discovered herself as a writer. As a child, she started with scrapbooking. During her secondary school days, she was an active member of press club and dramatic club, she wrote drama scripts for stage enactments and short stories just for the pleasure of it.

Her poems "My Darling" and "Silver Spoon" were published by Winnaija TV blog in 2018. Her flash fiction "Faceless" also was published in "Claws of hope: An Independence Day Anthology".

Peculiar Comfort Ene has also been published in Amazon and Voicing Gong. One of her poems was recently published in 'Get Consent' a publication of the Society of Young Nigerian Writers (SYNW) among others. Nature and emotion inspires her writings. She is a member of SEVHAGE Book Club. Her first book 'Tears' is yet to be published.

DEBORAH UZOMA - SYNW YOUNG FEMALE WRITER OF THE MONTH – JANUARY 2021


 

Deborah Uzoma is a graduate of English and Literary Studies, Imo State University. As an undergraduate, she wrote literary stories and events on City Star newspapers as their campus reporter, and the University's print media known then as Star Newspaper, Imo State University.

She won the first oratory competition at the International conference of Student of English and Literary Studies, ICOSELS held at University of Uyo, 2015.

She bagged a States Honours Award from Ebonyi State Government after her meritorious service year and on Literary awareness which she did as part of her Personal Community Development Service, PCDS in 2017.

In 2018, she emerged the winner of the Drama workshop point of focus at the First International conference organized by the Association of Nigerian Authors, ANA in conjunction with AE-FUNAI.

Her works have featured in Association of Nigerian Authors, ANA Review, World on the Brinks: An Anthology of COVID-19 Pandemic, Otowngist.com , City Star Newspapers. She is also a freelancer to National and state tabloids.

Deborah Uzoma currently working on her debut novel to be released this year. She is also a practicing Evangelist. Her new book "Holy Spirit and the Gift of Tongues in the Church" came as an inspiration from the Holy Spirit.
